Making an Appeal to the Asylum Support Tribunal

This course is aimed at advisors who are providing advice on support related issues but who would like to increase their knowledge of asylum support appeals, including representing their clients at the Asylum Support Tribunal.

This course covers an introduction to asylum support, support for failed asylum seekers, refusal or withdrawal of asylum support and the grounds of appeal. It also provides an overview of how hearings are structured at the Asylum Support Tribunal. This can include a visit to the Asylum Support Tribunal where participants are given the opportunity to observe an appeal in progress.

ASAP runs this course approximately four times a year.
